A batch roller is a specialized machine designed to collect and shape sugar masses during the production of confectionery products. Its primary function is to transform a cooked sugar batch into a uniform, elongated rope that can then be processed into candies or similar products.
The machine operates by continuously rolling and shaping the sugar mass between a set of stainless steel cones, which rotate at adjustable speeds to achieve the desired consistency and shape. Depending on the model, the batch roller can handle different types of sugar masses, including high- and low-boiled sugars, caramel, toffee and can accommodate various capacities, from small laboratory batches to large-scale industrial production.
Heating elements, often positioned at the bottom and sides of the machine, maintain the correct working temperature, preventing premature cooling and ensuring the sugar remains pliable during shaping. Additional features, such as adjustable cone speed, hydraulic lifting systems, and precise temperature control, provide flexibility and consistency, allowing operators to produce high-quality results batch after batch.
