S39 – Rolling & scoring line for chewing gum
The S39 line is our rolling and scoring solution for the high-capacity production of chiclet and slab gums without filling. Designed for extreme output requirements, it is fully automated through a PLC control system, minimizing the need for manual intervention. Its modular laminating and forming system enables quick and user-friendly changeovers, with each module replaced in less than five minutes.
To overcome the traditional drawback of rolling & scoring lines’ scrap rates, a scrap recovery belt system minimizes waste by reintroducing it directly into the pre-extruder.

Pre-extruding and Extruding
The process begins with pre-extrusion and extrusion, ensuring consistent temperature and continuous output.
The extruder generates a wide sheet of gum that is immediately covered with talc through a dedicated dosing unit, avoiding sticking problems and preparing it for the next stage.
Laminating and Forming
GMP-compliant laminating and forming modules progressively widen and thin the gum sheets until the target height is reached.
At this point, two cutting modules pre-cut the sheet surface into the desired shape, readying it for the next stage.
Cooling
Cooling is required for chiclet gums, while slab gums proceed directly to conditioning in product cases for several hours (for some products, even days).
Chiclet gum sheets are conveyed into a cooling tunnel, after which a dedicated discharge belt transfers them to a scrap drum separator that breaks them into individual pieces.
For maximum hygiene and efficiency, most tunnel components are fully removable, simplifying both cleaning and inspection.
