S38 – Lollipop chain former
The S38 line has been engineered to deliver both high capacity and consistent quality spherical lollipops, reaching production speeds of up to 2,000 pieces per minute while maintaining precise weight and shape control.
Thanks to a die-set changeover time of less than 5 minutes, the it ensures production continuity without variations in product geometry or weight. The line integrates easily with batch and semi-automated cooking systems, offering maximum flexibility across different production environments.
Output can range from simple single color products with one filling to more complex recipes featuring 2, 3, or 4 colors combined with multiple filling types within the same product.

Batching and Sizing
In the initial stage, the line employs our batch rollers and rope sizers, designed for seamless integration with any cooking system, whether batch or continuous. The batch roller’s role is to refine and condition the sugar mass, bringing it to the optimal processing temperature.
For multicolor production, a second batch roller or a dual configuration can be added. The S38 line has been used for this purpose multiple times, making up to 4 color lollipops using a setup of two double batch rollers.
Where fillings are required, dedicated extruders or pumps are incorporated to guarantee precise and uniform dosing right from the start. Once prepared, the rope sizer adjusts the product to the exact diameter required before it enters the forming section.
Forming
At the heart of the process is the forming machine, equipped with advanced chain die sets that ensure stable operation at a constant speed up to 50 m/min.
Thanks to integrated sensors positioned before, inside, and after the forming stage, the system delivers accuracy and reliability throughout production.
The forming speed is fully synchronized with the rest of the line via a PLC controlled system, ensuring smooth coordination across all stages.
Cooling
Finally, the cooling tunnels provide highly efficient temperature control, allowing products to move straight from forming into secondary packaging. To keep the product rounded, the lollipop cooling tunnel series, designed specifically for this line, is set up with 5 moving trays that keep the product moving while cooling it at the same time.
Cooling is achieved through direct airflow, ensuring uniform distribution from above.
For maximum hygiene and easy maintenance, most tunnel components are removable, making inspection and cleaning straightforward while safeguarding product quality, and an optional CIP system is available.
